Recently, you may have noticed a lot of updates with Games. As such, I will provide what all left there is to do.
Here's what I need to add to the client (before releasing):
- Add more camera tools (right click to drag around)
- Finish name tags (will be easier since I rewrote the camera) (done, isn't centered perfectly but will be fixing this later)
- Add sky box shader (already have this saved somewhere, just need to re-add it) (done)
I am also working on a few game features on the web side -- most of which have been done already.
Additionally, I have acquired a code signing certificate from Comodo to sign the executable file, and are awaiting them to process the order (to verify company info.) Information about a code signing certificate may be found here
Groups will be re-opened soon too - by the end of the weekend at latest.
More information will be provided soon.
Update - January 8, 2017
I am very proud to please that user avatars now fully load in game. Next, I am working on getting the code signing certificate activated (may have to use one with my name personally until I get the one for the company, as I am waiting for Dun&Bradstreet to assign our D-U-N-S number.)
Next, I will be automating loading avatars in-game, which is obviously an easy task. Then, I will work on user cameras, and the client will be ready for release and I will then quickly realize the limits for servers and then scale and update from there.
Update - January 9, 2017
Avatars now fully load in-game automatically.
The reason why we have not received the code signing certificate yet is because BLOX City, Inc. is registered with a registered agent service in Delaware and LegalZoom has a proxy address/phone number, and Comodo (the company I bought the CSC from) requires an automatic phone call to the number listed to verify I am the owner. As such, I have reached out to LegalZoom inquiring if there is a custom extension or a way to forward the call to me, but have yet to hear back. I will be calling them in the morning.
Additionally, I have been working on camera controls which are partially working, but may release first without them.
